    • Campaign development

      To provide targeted support to the mobility sector in recruiting Skilled Workers in Thuringia and to address its current challenges such as demographic change, the transport transition, and digitalization, the Thuringian Mobility Network (TMN) established temporary working group 5, "Campaign to Recruit Skilled Workers in Public Transport," in the summer of 2024. The Thuringian Agency for Skilled Workers Recruitment (ThAFF), located at LEG, is the contractor. The project aims to identify the specific Skilled Workers needs of Thuringian public transport companies, conduct targeted action days to connect the sector with potential future Skilled Workers (including career changers and students), and implement a high-impact marketing campaign (print and social media).

      • Cooperation with relevant stakeholders

        Goal: Close cooperation with HR managers and managing directors as well as public transport associations to optimize recruitment

        Measures: Development of joint measures to increase employer attractiveness, regular contact with companies to provide updates on the current status

      • Organization of information events

        Goal: Information exchange for the UN through targeted digital events in the Thuringian planning regions

        Measures: Select topics based on the needs analysis to offer an exchange on challenges and proposed solutions for the UN and to provide updates

      • Action days for potential applicants

        Goal: Early engagement of young talent and career changers through practical insights into public transport

        Measures: Participation in various events to reach potential employees in the market and to disseminate information about Career opportunities

      • Public relations & marketing campaigns

        Goal: Increasing the visibility of the project and enhancing the attractiveness of public transport as an employer

        Measures: Creating a dedicated landing page to publish the collected information, using social media platforms, developing promotional materials to draw attention to the project

      • Networking & Presentation

        Goal: Collaboration with multipliers and partner organizations to better disseminate the project

        Measures: Presentation of project results at relevant events, use of networks to recruit Skilled Workers , and promotional materials to draw attention to the project

      • Digital directory for international Skilled Workers

        Goal: Supporting public transport companies in recruiting foreign Skilled Workers

        Measures: Creating an online directory with relevant companies on the landing page, continuously updating it with new offers & partners to guide the project

      • Reporting & Evaluation

        Goal: Ensuring project results and continuously optimizing measures

        Measures: Interim report on project progress (January 2025), final report with success evaluation & recommendations (July 2025) to focus attention on the project

    Project “Campaign to recruit Skilled Workers in public transport”

    To provide targeted support to the Thuringian mobility sector in recruiting Skilled Workers and to address current challenges such as demographic change, the transport transition, and digitalization, the temporary working group 5, "Campaign to Recruit Skilled Workers in Public Transport," was established in the summer of 2024. The Thuringian Agency for Skilled Workers Recruitment (ThAFF), located at LEG Thüringen, is the contractor. 

    Project goals:
    The project aims to identify the specific need Skilled Workers in Thuringian public transport companies, to implement targeted action days to network the sector with potential Skilled Workers (including career changers and students), and to launch a high-impact marketing campaign (print and social media). These project components are to be implemented by July 2025. To increase the effectiveness of the campaign to recruit Skilled Workers for public transport, the continuation of Working Group 5 beyond the current contract period will be considered based on the evaluation results.
