In November: Thuringian business delegations travel to Vietnam, Azerbaijan, South Africa and Israel

There's no sign of a quiet autumn: Thuringian companies are busy searching for international business opportunities.

Led by Marcus Malsch, State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development, a delegation will visit Vietnam from November 2nd to 8th. The approximately 40 participants come from Thuringian administration, associations, and companies in the industrial, social services, and vocational training sectors. They will visit the cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. The trip also commemorates the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.

From November 4th to 7th, a Thuringian business delegation will explore the Azerbaijani market for logistics and renewable energies. Together with the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss der deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.), the LEG (Thuringian Economic Development Corporation) has been systematically organizing market research in the South Caucasus since 2023. Due to its geographical location, the region is increasingly coming into geopolitical focus and is benefiting from the development of new trade corridors.

For the second time, a business delegation from Thuringia is visiting the Africa Tech Festival in South Africa. From November 9th to 16th, the delegation will be in Cape Town to explore innovation hotspots and immerse themselves in the startup scene. The Africa Tech Festival is the leading technology forum on the African continent. The program includes company visits and roundtables on topics such as SpaceTech, artificial intelligence, IoT, digitalization, and startup innovations.

Also departing for Israel on November 9th is a delegation of approximately 40 people from Thuringia. This delegation will be led by Thuringian Minister-President Mario Voigt and accompanied by several Thuringian politicians and state secretaries from various ministries – such as the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior. The itinerary includes Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where a visit to the Knesset is planned. The Thuringian business delegation primarily comprises companies from the optics and optoelectronics sectors, but textile companies are also participating.
